Red Heart® Eco-Cotton™ Blend yarn is made from 75% Eco2 Cotton – recycled cotton from t-shirt fabric remnants. How is it manufactured? Fabric clippings are collected after the cut and sew process in T-shirt manufacturing. They are sorted by color, chopped into small pieces and blended. The resulting fiber is then blended with acrylic to enhance the performance and color and made into yarn. The regenerated fibers retain the color of the original recycled t-shirt or garment, so less dyes and chemicals are used. |
