2011 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project
Calling all knitters and crocheters! Pull out your needles and hooks for the 2011 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project sponsored by Red Heart. The 2011 Official Colors are Red Heart Super Saver Yarns 886-Blue and Red Heart Super Saver Yarns 512-Turqua. The colors as well as the size (6" x 54"-60") of the scarves will be the same for all participating Programs in the 2011 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project. You can purchase the yarn online at ShopRedHeart.com.
31 Special Olympics Programs are participating in the 2011 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project. Knitters and crocheters may choose any of these participating Programs to support.
As a symbol of unity, community and support within the Special Olympics Movement, the scarves will be gifted to athletes, coaches, families, volunteers and supporters of each participating Special Olympics Program.

I can't seem to find out which states are taking part in this. Is Arizona one of them? I have my own Special Olympian and I know how much this kind of thing means to these kids. Thank you to all you wonderful ladies who are giving this gift to these special people.

Check the requirements for the state where you plan to send your scarves. The deadline varies from state to state.

Can anyone tell me do we "mail or drop" off scarf's that are made. Can't wait to get started.
Delivery of Special Olympics scarves
When you select the state you wish to support, there will be instruction as to where the scarves should be sent.
