Crochet Along Block 3
We are beginning Block 3 of the Sampler Throw Crochet Along. On this block you will learn to use the Shell Stitch and Fpdc (front post double crochet). A How-To video on YouTube is available for those needing to see how these stitches are worked. Tell us about your progress; show us pics of your squares as you go. There are five different stitch blocks for this project. You can us any Red Heart yarn and colors of your choice. I have selected 10 different colors of Eco-Ways yarns for my throw.

Just found this.
Oh, I just found this and can't wait to get started. I'm running into town now to see if I can find the yarn. This looks so fun. Seems like a lot of people are already done though. I hope I'm not too late.

I have just borrowed this printer, from my friend who lives down the hall,so I am waaay behind everyone! I am very excited to begin this project. I will try to be finished before my surgery comes up. I'll send pics, Wish me luck !

Complete and Beautiful
ALL DONE!!! It is gorgeous. Can't wait until the next one.
Late again!
I didn't see this CAL before and I would have loved to join in but it seems that I am too late. After reading the comments on the blog it seems that most have finished or are close to finishing. I really like the pattern so I may still make it but it would have been fun to do it along with everyone here!
Happy Crocheting!
block 3
I am really enjoying doing this. I tend to stay away from squares and blocks but finding this one doable!! YEAH! Thanks...back to work! lol

Sampler Throw
I have been crocheting for a while and I have never seen anything so unique. I am on a project at the moment but as soon as I am done I will be attempt this one its great.

Somewhat confusing
Would like to submit a comment for consideration. With this crochet along, you all have information in two different places. This has been a bit confusing. Then the how to videos are in a third place. This makes keeping up with what is going on just a bit frustrating.
I did not realize until today that all the how to's had been posted. Therefore, I have mine almost all put together. I watched the video on assembling and liked the way it was put together there better. I do not, however, want to take mine apart and do over.
Is there a way you can put it all in one place, and let us know when new how to videos are released?
Thanks
this throw
Wow!!! Do I feel out of the loop. I just joined in the RedHeart group. My throw will really be behind, as I am just going after my yarn in the morning. Love the looks of it. I agree....ripple are too mush of the same.

New CAL Joiner
I don't do facebook anymore, so I am starting this late. My newsletter from Hooked on Crochet featured this Cal. I did one with Bernat, but I really love the look of this one and the materials are much better. Very excited to join in this one. Thanks Red Heart.
Block 3 / Crochet Along
I have to admit, block 3 has been my largest challenge with this afghan thus far. I have all the other blocks done and have gone back to number 3. After many tries with different size hooks I have ended up with a G hook and pulling up real hard on the FPdc's. I laid the blocks out just to see how my #3 would look and find that if I turn the block sideways, it fits well with the others.
Only have to make two more #3 blocks and I can start putting them all together. This has been so much fun!

WOW!!!
I thought I was doing good to already be on Block #5. I took a peek at your pics. It came out gorgeous.

I feel so strange my sister
I feel so strange my sister and I are just not starting block 2 I guess we started a week later than everyone :) We are having fun though!
All Done....

Thanks. It was fun.
