Dusty Snowflake Throw Crochet Along Week 3

 

It’s Week 3 of the Dusty Snowflake Crochet Along and we have another video for you.  I’ve seen the beautiful pieces you are creating, keep up the great work! Post pictures of your partially completed and completed projects, so that we can set up an album on Facebook for everyone to enjoy. 

I was away at the Stitches East show last week and didn’t have much time to work on my throw, but I’ll be doing some stitching tonight and will share my photos next week.

Watch the How-To videos for the different techniques on completing each motif.  Techniques shown this week are how to join motifs together on Rnd 7 to create a row and adding filler motifs.  Also visit Red Heart's YouTube channel to see videos on joining the motifs as you go.

If it weren't for the how-to-video, I'd still be trying to figure out how to put all these together!

Well, I am getting the motifs together, but I just tried a filler motif. First two rounds, great, then to join,hmmm. I followed instructions, but it just doesn't seem right, you are doing joins, then repeating, then other directions instead of just doing the join scenario four times. . I could use more detail showing joining the motif all the way around. I fudged it to get it to work, but I's like to do it right. Help.

I think I've got it! After making a dozen motifs with a size G hook, I tried yet a smaller hook (F) and now the motifs lay flat. So I am remaking them, and they look much better. And the video helped me to understand how to join the motifs. Thank you for the video.
