Pink Power

The color experts at Pantone have named Honeysuckle as their color of the year for 2011!  Is anyone out there (besides me) just a little excited that this fun shade of pink won the title?  Come on all you girly girls…stand up and be proud you love pink.  Our new shade of Super Saver, Perfect Pink # 706 will be available May 15 ..here’s a sneak peek!   I know you’re going to love it!

Well I'm just tickled pink! Pink (any shade) happens to be my favorite color! Can't wait to buy some! I agree with "txcatgirl"... this shade of pink will blend with lots of other colors. Thanks RedHeart!

Perfect for Pull-Through Wrap

I have been planning to make the Pull-Through Wrap and was trying to decide what color -- maybe the gray pictured with the pattern -- but now I know it has to be Perfect Pink. This color is practically a neutral because it will go with so many other colors and bring a little lift to every outfit. I always love to see new Super Saver colors, because I usually have something left from every project that can be made into an afghan later. I'm already looking forward to using Perfect Pink in an afghan or throw!

Little girls love the pinks. I will be making an afghan with this one.
I like working with the red Heart yarns. Its not so rough on the skin.
Way to go, Red Heart!!!

I love the shade of pink....not too baby....not too hot. It will look wonderful on all those survivors and warriors out there on the breast cancer battlefront.
But all the honeysuckle I have ever seen in my part of the country has a pretty little yellow to white bloom. Any explaination from the company?

Greetings Kim: I live on Long Island and while I grew up knowing
the yellow version you mentioned I have seen other varieties with a pink glow a
and even some that have a more reddish cast.... I think Red Heart was right in naming their version Perfect Pink.... and not going with Pantone's Honeysuckle option.... One woman's opinion....

You may want to go to Pantone's site to ask why they call the color Honeysuckle Pink. We're calling our new Red Heart color "Perfect Pink" because we think it is THE perfect pink for so many uses!
