very happy

I went to shop at the salvation army store up the street and found Red Heart Yarn for this pattern. It made me so HAPPY when I seen it. I picked this pattern in the morning and wrote notes to go buy the yarn to make it. When I found the yarn it really made my day. The blue is called 387 Soft Navy though. I found 2 376 Burgundy, 2 387 Soft Navy and 1 311 White. My first thought came to mind, "Oh wow, I can make that Colors of America pattern." A lady was laughing at me cause I was so happy with what I found. LOL

American Pride and my Redheart

I have used Redheart yarns for most all my needlework projects for years. I always wanted to make a patriotic afghan but never saw or thought of a pattern I really liked until this one.

Now, with my cousins two grandsons in the service and already learning they will be sent to Afghaniatan next year I started to think of making them afghans while they were over there. This one is definitely one of them. Thanks so much for this beautiful pattern and for always keeping our service people mentioned on your site.

God bless you and them.
