Dominique Pomp-a-Poodle Knitting Pattern

Who wouldn’t want this “poodle girl”? Requests for a knitted Pomp-a-Poodle brought Dominique to life. Make yours pink if you want to match our crocheted version!

RED HEART® Super Saver®: 1 skein each 316 Soft White A, 400 Grey Heather B, and small amount 312 Black C. RED HEART® Pomp-a-Doodle™: 1 ball 9945 Night & Day D.

Knitting Needles: 4mm [US 6] – 32” circular needle, or four 4mm [US 6] double pointed needles, and 5.5mm [US 9] circular needle or four 5.5mm [US 9] double pointed needles (for head pouf only). Stitch marker, two ¾” black buttons (for eyes), fiberfill stuffing, plastic pellets and knee high stocking (optional, for additional weight), small piece of brown paper (for tail insert), black embroidery floss (for eyelashes), sharp embroidery needle, dark powder blush and large make-up brush (optional, for cheeks), pins, ribbon (optional for top of head), yarn needle.

Poodle measures 10” tall, measured from nose to back end, not including tail.

GAUGE: 20 sts = 4”; 28 rows = 4” in St st (knit on Right Side, purl on Wrong Side) with smaller needle(s). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.
