Great pattern
I just finished making this afghan and it is beautiful. At first I wanted to make my own color scheme but it was way too much work (I'm lazy) so I made it using the pattern's color scheme. I'm glad I did because the colors in the squares blend perfectly. I did change the border colors. The pattern calls for the two green colors. I used turquois and claret since my decor is navy, burgundy, and rose. It is easy and fast. I've been crocheting for 15-16 years and have never crocheted anything for myself. My crochet projects have always been gifts for others. This is a great gift for myself. I'm displaying it across the back of my sofa. It's the first thing one sees when walking into my living room.
