GAUGE: 2 repeats = 4”; 7 rows = 4” in pattern with larger hook. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

How do you figure that chaining 90 to start will give the size indicated? Mine keeps coming out way shorter than stated.

Check to make sure you're getting the correct gauge for the pattern. If you tend to crochet tighter than the person who made the blanket, you may have a smaller finished project. Try going to a larger hook and see what happens.
