RED HEART®Super Saver®: 3 Skeins 311 White A, 4 skeins 661 Frosty Green B and 5 skeins 931 Seagrass C.

Crochet Hook:

5.5mm [US I-9]

 

Yarn needle.


Quilt measures approximately. 63” x 80”.


GAUGES: Color Band: 7 sts = 3”; 14 rows = 4” in pat. Octagon: Rnds 1-4 = 6”. Eyes: Rnds 1- 5 = 9” (point to point). Center: Rnds 1-5 = 6”. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauges.

I have ran into the same problem as rickami813. Thus I am proceeding with the 8 ch 2 spaces as an octagon is 8 sided.

errata for this afghan

I found that while making the octagons, it states that there will be 6 chain 2 spaces and really there is 8. It's impossible to only have 6 chain two spaces seeings in round one it states: ch-3, dc in ring, [dc, ch 2, dc in ring] 7 times, ch 2; join to bginning ch-3, which makes 8 chain two spaces and 8 sets of double crochets!
